Pure raw clover honey has a distinct floral aroma and a sweet, delicate taste. It is derived from the nectar of clover blossoms collected by honeybees. Its color can range from pale yellow to light amber, depending on factors such as the region where it was harvested and the time of year.

One of the defining characteristics of raw clover honey is its unprocessed nature. Unlike pasteurized honey, which undergoes heating and filtration, raw honey is not subjected to high temperatures or fine filtration, preserving all the natural enzymes, pollen, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other beneficial compounds.

In terms of flavor, raw clover honey typically has a mild, floral sweetness with subtle hints of grassiness and earthiness, reflecting the specific floral sources the bees visited. It can be enjoyed as a sweetener in various foods and beverages, used in cooking and baking, or savored straight out of the bottle.

Raw honey is often prized for its potential health benefits, including its soothing effects on sore throats and potential allergy relief due to trace amounts of pollen. However, it’s important to note that while raw honey offers these potential benefits, it should not be given to infants under one year of age.
