Our Story
Ozarka Farms is a fourth-generation owned and operated family business.
Our honey business was established in 1956 by P. G. Johnson. He owned and operated several companies, but honey was his passion as he had kept bees since he was young.
He operated 2,500 bee hives, had a honey extraction and packing business, and manufactured and sold beekeeping hives, frames, and components. He packed honey using the ‘Ozarka’ brand which we continue to use today.
We pack honey for many private-label customers and food manufacturing companies. We began manufacturing fruit butter, jams, and jellies in 2002 and acquired the Bekemeier’s trademark in 2008.
